Why We Need to Train...

Here are some statistics which are startling...and why we need to send people to train pastors: "There is a formally trained church leader for every 230 people in the U.S. There is one formally trained church leader for every 450,000 people in the rest of the world In order to meet the need of the new believers (174,000 daily coming to Christ) 1,740 trained pastors would be required (assuming 100 people per pastor) The former director of the AD2000 and Beyond Movement estimates that in the 10-40 window, there are over 5 million pastors, many of them leading small hidden congregations, who have had no access to any kind of Biblical training 85% of leaders who come to the West for theological education do not return to their home country There are 2.2 million evangelical churches in the world at 85% of them are led by men and women who have no theological training If every Christian training institution in the world operated at 120% capacity, less than 10% of the unequipped leaders would be trained."
